We understand how tough it can be dealing with an extreme event involving your property. This is a stressful time in your life. Our aim is to guide you through the restoration process and restore order to your life. We take pride in our work and hope to have a positive impact on you and your property, and establish peace of mind in a timely manner.
There will be many people involved in your claim, such as your insurance broker or agent, your insurance company, your insurance adjuster, and Smartway!
There are three stages involved in the process:
The Emergency
In this situation, your insurance company, your agent, your adjuster, or you yourself has contacted us to mitigate your emergency. We will typically contact you within 30 minutes and start providing service within an hour. Our project manager will meet with you on site and have our crews secure your possessions and property to limit further damage.
The Estimate
At this stage, your insurance company will ask us to provide them with a comprehensive estimate to repair the damage caused by the emergency.
The Repair
The final stage follows approval of our estimate of repairs by your insurance company and the authorization to proceed to restore your property to its pre-loss condition. At the end of our project we will supply you with a Certificate of Completion guaranteeing our workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date you sign it. We don’t want you to sign this Certificate until you are completely satisfied with our work.
Emergency Response
Our crews are available 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. Once information has been received on a claim, the crew prepares for the emergency by gathering the equipment, materials and personal protective clothing necessary to deal with the situation. The homeowner is contacted and informed that our crew is on their way to the property.
Rebuild and Repair Response
Our objective here will be to restore your property and contents to their pre-loss condition. Certain projects will require hiring outside contractors and ordering materials which may incur a significant wait time to arrive on site. There are other factors that may make the restoration process longer than expected, however, we will take every measure possible to provide prompt project completion. Our Smartway project managers will discuss a work schedule with you that meets your needs.
